What’s Your Excuse?

Book Cover for Life Without Limits by Nick VujicicI just finished reading Life Without Limits by Nick Vujicic. I was given this book to review courtesy of the Blogging for Books program of Waterhouse Multnomah Publishing Group. I was very excited to get this book for review. I have watched several of the YouTube videos of Nick, and I have checked out his website as well. He is a very inspirational young man and his book does not disappoint.

Nick was born without arms or legs. He could have chosen to let this get him down and pursued a life of misery and hard luck. We all are faced with a similar choice in our lives. Unfortunately not everyone chooses as wisely as Nick. Not only did he choose to make the best of his life, he decided to use his life and his example to encourage others and bring hope to them through his public speaking. This book is simply an extension of that mission.

The book is full of help and inspiration for many of life’s struggles. He fills it full of personal anecdotes along with practical application of principles that serve as “inspiration for a ridiculously good life” as he puts it. His good natured humor and positive outlook on life make his message of hope irresistible.

I read a lot of personal development and business development genre books. This book would serve those interested in these genres very well. I could not help but notice the similarities to Zig Ziglar’s classic book See You at the Top. Not that this is any way a knock off of that book. It’s just that the inspiration that he provides parallels so well with the inspiration that Zig provides in his book. Both books serve well to help inspire the reader to a life of meaning and purpose.

I thought this was an outstanding book and would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with doubts or setbacks, or even for those that are just looking for some additional inspiration and a great read. The stories of his life are entertaining and make the book a very enjoyable read all around.
